Privacy Policy

Last updated: 15 June 2026

We built TRAK privacy-first. This policy explains, in plain language, exactly what we do and don't do with your data.

1. Who we are

TRAK is a product of TRAK SAS, a company headquartered in Paris, France. We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. Questions? Email hello@trak.watch.

2. What the module collects

Nothing. The TRAK module is a passive Bluetooth Low Energy radio. It does not record motion, audio, images, or any data of any kind. It only broadcasts a cryptographically random advertising signal at very low power.

3. How location works

When your iPhone is in Bluetooth range and detects the module's signal, it records an approximate location and uploads it to your private TRAK account, encrypted end-to-end.

Only your own devices hold the decryption key. TRAK SAS cannot read where your watch is — and could not produce it even under a court order.

4. Data we do process

Account data: the email address you use to create an account, and your TRAK Pro subscription status.

Encrypted location blobs: stored on your behalf but unreadable to us.

Payment data: handled by Stripe, our payment processor. We never see or store your full card details.

Support communications: any messages you send us.

5. What we never do

No advertising identifiers. No third-party analytics or marketing SDKs in the firmware or the app. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with advertisers.

6. Where data is stored

Our backend is hosted in the European Union (Frankfurt, Germany). Processing complies with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

7. Your rights

Under the GDPR you may access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and object to or restrict its processing. To exercise any right, email hello@trak.watch and we will respond within 30 days.

8. Data retention

We keep account data while your account is active. Encrypted location history is retained according to your TRAK Pro settings and deleted when you remove a device or close your account.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the product evolves. Material changes will be announced by email and reflected in the date below.
